Youth Organizing Leadership Summer Practicum 2022
This four week paid opportunity is for people in Baltimore ages 18-25 to learn about drug policy and harm reduction and practice community organizing skills.

- Pay is $14/hr and 16 hours a week

Family Summer Institute 2022
This is a FREE workshop series is for families and interested school staff. We are creating space for families to get information, connections and support to build engaged school communities. These free workshops are being sponsored by Teachers' Democracy Project, PCAB, Baltimore Gift Economy, Child First and Communities United.
Please register in advance so we can be sure to have enough food, childcare and transportation for anyone who needs it. Sign up for any that interest you.

It can be hard to build a solid PTO or other parent group. This workshop is for parents or any other school staff who want to learn the basics of organizing and think through ideas for how to build an organized parent group.

This workshop will be led by PCAB and Teachers’ Democracy Project.
It is for parent groups that want to create more structure for their work and create meaningful goals and strategies.

Patterson Park Public Charter School, 27 N Lakewood Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224
Food provided with corresponding take home STEM activities for kids who need childcare
Many schools have an organized parent group that does not represent the whole school community. This will be a discussion on what has worked to organize and engage a diverse group of families.
Healing Through Connection
Tuesday Aug. 23, 6pm-8pm
Arlington Elementary School, 3705 W Rogers Ave. Baltimore, MD 21215
Heart to Heart and Baltimore Gift Economy will collaborate to lead a workshop to encourage the practice of wellness and stress management through empathic listening and simple acts of connecting to nature.
All workshops are free and provide food, childcare and transportation
