Communities United's Power Project for Decriminalization of Drugs and harm reduction is directed toward - and facilitated by - people who have had problems with the law, and have been affected by the War on Drugs. Its purpose is to empower the people who use and have used drugs. Marginalized & criminalized community members build a grassroots network based on self education and social action.
Participants meet, teach and learn from one another, and prepare to create the public discussions, legal and political changes needed to bring justice where there has not been justice. Working together, people who have been locked out build the personal and collective power to fully participate in their communities, take collective responsibility & change the possibilities for their futures.
